Our History

Cornerstone was established in 1994 after Virgil MB Church and the Niagara Christian Fellowship Chapel closed. Since it’s beginning Cornerstone has been seeking to have a positive impact on the community. The name, Cornerstone Community Church, reflects the desire of the congregation to be a place of belonging, community, and significant involvement within the community around us.

Cornerstone Community Church is part of the Mennonite Brethren Conference (MB), a Biblically-centered denomination with an evangelical emphasis. This places us within a provincial, national and world wide network of churches.
