Below we have curated resources to help you grow in these practices, with the aim that you would grow in your relationship with Jesus.
Books
Unbreakable: What the Son of God Said About the Word of God by Andrew Wilson. This short and easy-to-read book helps us understand the relationship that Jesus had with the Bible.
Seven Things I Wish Christians Knew About the Bible by Michael F. Bird. This book engages with topics like how the Scriptures have been given to us historically, the inspiration and authority of Scripture, and how to read Scripture in a Christ-centred manner.
How to Read the Bible for All Its Worth by Gordon Fee and Douglas Stuart. A helpful introduction to how to interpret, study, and apply the Scriptures.
Online Videos
Bible Project is an outstanding online video resource. They have overview videos for each book of the Bible that explain the structure, theme and purpose of the book. The website also includes videos exploring important themes, metaphors, and word studies. We highly recommend this resource to help equip you to study and meditate on Scripture.
Study Tools
Blue Letter Bible is a free online study resource to help study passages with commentaries and a variety of other tools.
Bible Reading Plans
Life Journal Reading Plan was developed by Wayne Cordeiro and takes you through the Old Testament once and the New Testament twice each calendar year. Cornerstone has published this plan for many years.
Five Day Bible Reading takes you through the whole Bible each year, while reading 5 days per week.
BibleProject Reading Plan takes you through the whole Bible in a year, with links to BibleProject videos corresponding to each reading. You can subscribe to this plan in the YouVersion app and the videos are linked as part of the plan.
